SIGACT: The protest began around 7 p.m. with traffic being blocked along Westport Rd. & Pennsylvania Ave. No police responded and "security" officers were moving barricades to accommodate the evolving size and location of protestors. Several vehicles were turned around according to the report.
RECOMMENDATION: Avoid travelling through potential/historic protest areas during hours of darkness or publicized protest. Event organizers are active on social media, continue monitoring for future events. Regional violence against vehicle passengers suggests traffic blocks can become dangerous for pedestrians and vehicle occupants.

SITREP: Kansas City Black Lives Matter organizers are planning a protest at The Waldo Pillar at Trolley Track Trail and 75th St. beginning at 6:30 p.m. CST. If it is storming they are planning on having the same protest on 8 August 2020.
RECOMMENDATION: Previous protests by same organizers resulted in a few hundred attendees with reports of traffic being blocked and cars turned around. Avoid the area on Friday and Saturday.

MISSISSIPPI/ 27 July 2020/ Majority of Mississippi teachers support delaying return to school.

SITREP: The future of education in certain districts remains unknown, education officials are unable to agree with medical officials causing confusion among parents. The educational gap in students is a major concern.
RECOMMENDATION: Be prepared to find alternative educational opportunities online, from neighboring districts or community resources in the event school schedules are impacted.

WIGGINS, MS/ 28 July 2020/ Antifa South Mississippi begins targeting businesses.

SIGACT: Antifa group is identifying individual users and targeting their employers for bad Google reviews.
RECOMMENDATION: Increase online review monitoring if employees/business are active in potentially divisive events. This is a very common tactic by radical groups to target advertisers and businesses directly.

HARRISON, AR/ 27 July 2020/ 8:19 a.m.com/ YouTube personality and activist holds a black lives matter sign in front of Walmart.

SIGACT: Harrison is a well-known area for KKK members and sympathizers. Rob Bliss attempted to create controversy in the town, which he has. Local city social media is currently being inundated with harassing posts about BLM.
RECOMMENDATION: Evaluate future provocative actions in the community. The potential for conflict between local KKK groups and outside agitators is on the rise due to the media coverage of this event and subsequent social media activity targeting the town as a whole.
