PROTEST ADVISORY: DENTON, TEXAS
The University of North Texas College Republicans are holding a "Back the Blue" rally.
SIGACT: UNT College Republicans is a youth political student movement and non-violent.
SITREP: The rally is to be held from 1200-1330 on 22 August at 110 West Hickory Street Denton, Texas 76201. There is a courthouse located here and the area is is a popular local spot known as Courthouse on the Square.
RECOMMENDATION: Over 2,100 people have responded to the FB rally page as of the time of this writing. Back the Blue rallies have been the scene of significant violence in the past few months. Denton is not far from Dallas which has a large BLM community. The recommendation is to avoid Downtown Denton on Saturday.
