PROTEST ADVISORY: AUSTIN, TEXAS
Black Queer Lives Matter (BQLM) and Austin LGBT for Black Lives, are holding a "Peace Rally."
SIGACT: Both of these groups have been active in the Austin street protests which have now continued for more than three months.
SITREP: The rally is scheduled to take place on 19 September from 1500-1700. The location is Pan Am Neighborhood Park at 2100 E. 3rd Street
RECOMMENDATION: This does not appear to be an event that will get out of hand. Though, it's important to note that there are several large demonstrations planned for Austin on 19 September, and trouble-makers from those events could find their way to this one. Still, only a healthy caution in the vicinity of Pan AM Neighborhood Park is recommended.
